Cabarita & surrounds
Beaches abound in the Tweed Coast area and there are many close by for you to choose from, including Cabarita Beach, The Cove and South Beach, each of which offers something unique. You can do as much or as little as you want, from simply soaking up the rays on any of the beautiful beaches to catching world famous waves, from snorkelling with the fish to catching them, there is something for everyone here. Cabarita Beach has a deserved reputation for its world class surfing, windsurfing, fishing and beach carnivals.
Beyond the beach the surrounding area is renowned for its natural beauty. For sheer rock sea views and that all important solitude you can walk up to Norries Headland, which will only take you about 10 minutes. There are also large areas of wetlands that are protected and have not been developed, ensuring you can experience this region in its unspoilt splendour. The beach is bounded by a Nature Reserve to the north and west and the Pacific Ocean to the east, providing a true oasis from the wider world.
The resort is close to shops, hotels, restaurants as well as to the Cabarita Bowls Club. Close by the resort you can find many local Curio Shops and Art Galleries. There are nearby markets on every Sunday if you want to get a bargain, shop for food or just browse. The outlying areas also provide many amazing and unique experiences, including magical day trips where you can find amazing little villages that have pottery and other crafts that you can buy.
Within an hour’s drive of our resort there are 8 National Parks and not to forget the beautiful Mt Warning, the first land in Australia to catch the rays of the sun. For the adventurous there is nothing like an early morning walk to catch these rays.
When you stay at our Cabarita Beach resort you can truly experience the beauty and wonder of the region, encapsulated by the unspoilt splendour and free from the pressures of the wider world. When you need to find paradise, you need to come to Diamond Beach Resort.
